Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 onion, diced
- ginger garlic paste
- 1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup coconut milk or 3 Tbsp greek yogurt
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- salt and pepper
- cilantro for garnish
- rice or naan as side
Instructions
- saute onion, spices, transfer to slow cooker
- Add allexpect coconut milk and/or yogurt to slow cooker
- cook for 6 hours on low
- Remove chicken and shred, re-add to slow cooker with coconut milk
- Finish cooking uncovered to thicken, taste for additional salt
